What is a Battery Connector?

A battery connector — including battery holders, battery clips, and DC power jacks — mechanically holds a battery and makes the electrical contact to the circuit. It covers everything from coin cells to 18650 cylindrical cells to board-level DC power input.

Types We Manufacture

• 18650 / cylindrical cell holders — single and multi-cell, with spring and leaf contacts.
• Coin cell holders — CR2032, CR1220 and other sizes, SMD and through-hole.
• Battery clips and spring contacts for AA/AAA and custom cells.
• DC power jacks — barrel connectors for external DC input.

Materials and Ratings

Contacts are spring steel or phosphor bronze with nickel or tin plating; holders are PP or PBT (UL 94V-0). Current ratings depend on the contact style — from a few hundred mA for coin cells to several amps for 18650 power holders.

Battery connectors are used in remote controls, IoT sensors, medical devices, power tools, battery packs, and any portable electronics.

How to Choose a Battery Connector

Start from the cell size (coin vs cylindrical), the mounting (SMD vs through-hole), and the contact style (spring, leaf, or clip). For vibration-prone products, choose a holder with positive retention.
